Exceptional year highlighted by product innovation, industry accolades, and continued channel and customer growth
BURLINGTON, Mass. – Jan 20, 2009 – Klocwork, Inc., the proven leader in automated source code analysis solutions for improving software security and quality, today announced outstanding corporate development through 2008. Following the release of its ground breaking source code analysis (SCA) tool, Klocwork Insight, in January last year, Klocwork experienced continued market recognition and increased adoption of its sophisticated source code analysis capabilities for software developers.
As 2008 came to a close, Klocwork saw 40 percent year over year customer growth and now counts more than 500 customers that are benefiting from its SCA solutions, while maintaining an almost 95% percent renewal rate of existing customer maintenance business. Of particular note was the Company’s exceptional growth internationally through its global network of partners.

Klocwork set the agenda for desktop source code analysis with the launch of Klocwork Insight in January 2008. Klocwork Insight enables developers to couple the productivity benefits of fast, local desktop SCA with the accuracy of system-wide analysis. The Company also continued to invest in solutions for mobile developers with new analysis capabilities for Symbian OS and Android applications.
This continued product innovation was recognized across key industry publications throughout the year. SD Times named Klocwork to its Top 100 list for the fourth consecutive year, recognizing the company as a leading name in software development for the 2008 test & quality assurance (QA) category. Additionally, Klocwork Insight was selected as an Editor’s Choice product by VME & Critical Systems, part of OpenSystems Media, an honor that highlighted Insight’s unique ability to run local SCA at the developer desktop, as opposed to providing an "after-the-fact audit build report."
The 451 Group highlighted Klocwork’s unique developer-focused approach to SCA in its December 16th Market Development Report, stating: "Among its peers in the static analysis market, Klocwork is making the most spirited push to find a foothold early in the development process. We agree with Klocwork that the earlier static analysis happens in the development of an application that’s better both in terms of reducing the cost of downstream problems and cultivating better habits in developers."
