Klocwork is currently looking for a Product Manager to assist in driving market intelligence and product development strategies. The successful candidate will be part of the team that is charged with leading product contribution in a market that is growing quickly. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gathers and prioritizes market requirements by meeting with current and potential customers, researching competitors, markets and technological advances;
- Creates and drives product development based on market requirements
- Develops product roadmaps by setting product/feature priorities;
- Develops detailed business plans for several products or product lines to achieve desired market penetration and market share;
- Identifies and defines markets to be entered;
- Serves as internal and external evangelist for the product offering;
- Develops and delivers product training to Sales team to ensure understanding of product position, value, competition, differentiation and markets;
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer engineering/computer science, or similar
- 3-5 years of combined experience in a marketing and product management role in a software development organization
- Development/technical experience in the development of software applications (specifically C/C++, C#, and Java)
- Experience working with various development methodologies such as Agile development
- Experience doing in-depth competitive analysis
- Experience working with/forging relationships with technology partners
- Ability to translate customer pains into product features, then articulate to the development organization
Specialized Skills:
- Experience with all aspects of the software development tool chain including IDE’s, compilers, frameworks, and/or testing products
- Effective communication, customer relation skills and presentation skills
- Proven ability to define markets and product requirements
- Demonstrated ability to influence and gain acceptance from other groups
