G2ZERO FORUM LAUNCHED TO PROMOTE SOFTWARE QUALITY

Maintained by New Rowley Group and Klocwork, g2zero Features Valuable Content and Encourages Open Discussions on Improving Software Quality

BURLINGTON, Mass. - July 31, 2006 - Recognizing the growing need for a centralized, open community focused on improving software quality, industry experts today unveiled g2zero, an online community dedicated to furthering the discussion on how organizations can improve software quality. With its name derived from the holy grail of software development - "getting to zero" defects and security vulnerabilities - g2zero (http://www.g2zero.com) offers original commentary and analysis as well as links to relevant news, discussions, and other software-quality-related content on the Web.

All members of the software development industry as well as software users are invited and encouraged to participate by submitting original content and links to related stories and by discussing posts. To submit content, please email it to submit@g2zero.com.

Poor quality software affects the ability of organizations that rely on software to operate effectively and to service their customers. Code quality issues also severely impact organizations producing software. Product launches are delayed, resources must be reallocated, and reputations are diminished as defects are discovered late in the development process or even after the software has been released. g2zero's goal is to provide valuable content in the form of opinion, insight and debate in order to help both users and creators of software improve the process and tools that will lead to more reliable and secure code.

"g2zero is a great forum for us to host discussions around software quality - both industry-wide news items, and original analysis from the New Rowley Group," said Nick Allen, director of marketing for Klocwork. "Typically, this type of valuable, vendor-neutral information would be scattered throughout the web, but the g2zero blog is the ideal mechanism for centralizing, sharing, and discussing the pressing issues facing anyone involved in software development."

"New Rowley is excited to help establish a community focused on improving software quality," said Tom Rhinelander, analyst with New Rowley and one of the editors of g2zero. "While there are many sites that touch on development issues, g2zero will be solely focused on the issue in order to help software users, developers, and business executives understand the need for more reliable software and the ways to go about improving the development process."
