BURLINGTON, Mass. – Jan 3, 2007 – Klocwork Inc., the proven leader in automated software solutions that improve software security and quality, today announced the appointment of Gwyn Fisher as its new Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Fisher brings more than 15 years of global technology experience to Klocwork where he will guide the company's technical direction and development.
"Gwyn possesses the proper blend of experience and technical vision while maintaining the 'hands-on' developer perspective that is critical for success in this position," says Mike Laginski, Klocwork president and CEO. "Combined with a wealth of international operational and technical experience, Gwyn will have an instant impact helping us build upon the strong momentum the company has established over the past several years."
Prior to joining Klocwork, Mr. Fisher served as senior vice president of research and development for LumaPath where he led the creation of LumaPath's Active Integration product suite. Prior to LumaPath, Mr. Fisher was the senior vice president of research and development with Hummingbird, Ltd. where he had operational responsibility for more than 350 employees and five product lines within eleven different locations across the United Sates, Canada and Europe.
"Having spent my entire career within enterprise software development, I understand the importance of static analysis and the effect it can have on a company's reputation and bottom line," says Fisher. "More importantly, I understand the value it can bring to the individual developer, assisting them in the management of highly complex code, freeing them to focus on innovation. By bringing years of experience in the developer community to Klocwork, I believe I can provide valuable insight into the needs and wants of customers, therefore creating a stronger, and more valuable static analysis product."
In addition to working as a strategy consultant for many international software firms, Mr. Fisher has also held positions with PC DOCS, Inc., Fulcrum Technologies, Ltd., TRIP Systems International, and Paralog Ltd. Mr. Fisher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Royal Holloway College at London University in the U.K.
