Klocwork Helps RAD Data Communication Strengthen Product Portfolio with the Addition of Static Analysis Testing
Embedded Systems Capability Assures Quality and Security for Telecommunications Access Equipment Manufacturer
BURLINGTON, Mass. - February 28, 2007 - Klocwork, Inc., the proven leader in delivering automated software solutions that improve software security and quality, today announced it has reached an agreement with RAD Data Communications, an internationally recognized leading manufacturer of network access equipment, to provide static analysis technology for their portfolio of data communications and telecommunications applications. The agreement will enable RAD to implement best of breed static analysis testing into its wide range of industry leading voice and data access products, ensuring that the highest levels of quality and security are met.
"We looked at the implementation of a static analysis testing program as an opportunity to not only improve the quality of our products, but to also improve our entire development process," said Uri Shabi, Director of Research and Development at RAD. "The Klocwork solution has the potential to drastically shorten the time to market of our products by reducing the time needed to resolve potential defects and vulnerabilities in the different applications. In addition, the static analysis testing will be instrumental in finding defects previously undetectable until later stages of testing. While we reviewed several possible solutions, in the end the manageability of the Klocwork product suite, along with Klocwork's flexibility and customer friendly approach made them our partner of choice."
The key component to Klocwork's award-winning static analysis suite, Klocwork K7.5, is the ability for cross-functional development teams to quickly identify software defects and vulnerabilities. With K7.5, RAD Data Communications' developers will be able to find defects quickly with greater thoroughness and accuracy. The solution easily integrates with complex build systems and will automatically recognize any changes to a customer's build, ensuring the Klocwork integration is maintained. The agreement terms and pricing that were negotiated on behalf of RAD Data Communications will also be made available to all fourteen member companies of the RAD Group, allowing them to benefit from the same high level of static analysis testing.
